1111 Central
1111 Central
1111 Central can be found on Central Avenue in-between Goodlette-Frank Road and 10th Street North. This location is a premier location to choose, as well as a historic one for the thriving city of Naples. 1075 Central was the former site to the city’s local news distributer, Naples Daily News. Naples Daily News occupied the 1075 Central Avenue address at it’s inception back in the year of 1969. For forty years, the company grew exponentially and closed it’s door in the Fall of 2009. Naples Daily News closed one door to open another one now located off of Immokalee Road in North Naples.
The 1111 Central address is located just one block outside one of the oldest sections of the city, Old Naples. The Old Naples Association is “dedicated to preserving the distinctive charm, culture, and character of our quaint community. Our core vision is to maintain those features that make Old Naples unique and gives its residents and visitors a seldom matched small town atmosphere with an exceptional quality of life.”1 Their work hasn’t gone unnoticed, as the homes in the Old Naples district vary in both size and style and range from being built in the late 1800’s until present day. Old Naples has become an attractive area to both residents and tourists alike with the downtown shopping district and avenues running directly to the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. Naples has been visited by many famous actors and actresses including including Gary Cooper, Lawrence Tibbets, Gertrude Lawrence and rumored Gloria Swanson.
Today, 1111 Central will be developed into a modern building housing two hundred and twenty residences by the new and upcoming builder MHK Architecture. MHK Architecture has received lots of attention from the city of Naples with their most recent work being Mangrove Bay and Naples Square. They have also volunteered several hours in the fledgling Baker Park, which will be home to park-goers, both human and dogs alike. MHK Architecture was founded in 2009 by Matthew Kragh and has since then earned the respect from those within the building industry and the respect of the people of the city of Naples with his generous charitable contributions in finances and labor hours. Matthew Kragh has also earned a spot by Gulfshore Business in their “Forty under Forty”, earned the title of Humanitarian of the Year by AIA Florida Southwest, and in 2008, earned the W.R. Frizell Medal of Honor. With the construction process beginning shortly, you know you will be in good hands and receive a solid, high-quality home by an extremely reputable builder.
